If you are looking to photograph Galapagos and all it's amazing wildlife, and learn from a 8-time Olympic photographer, then this is a great trip for you. No matter what level of photographer you are (from beginner to professional), you will love this photo tour. We visit places that many others don't visit and photograph a wide variety of wildlife on the islands.And...as a bonus...since Canon sponsors me, they will let you borrow almost any camera and lens for this trip at no cost (as long as you live in the US)! This is not to say that you have to be a Canon shooter to join the group. I teach people using all brands. If you would like to join me on this awesome 11 day photo tour, please contact me as soon as possible to secure a spot. You can see all the photo tours on my tour page.

Time in the waterThe wildlife in the Galapagos is not limited to the land, and you would be remiss to go to the islands and not see the amazing life under the sea. We have options almost every day to go snorkeling in between our land visits. It is really special to swim with the sea lions, sea turtles, incredible fish, and even see water iguanas feeding under ocean. |

* Each trip will be limited to just 14 guests. This will give us plenty of one-on-one time together! You will want to book your flight to Quito, Ecuador to arrive on the day before our first day. For your return flight, you will want to book a flight home the day after our the last day of the trip. Skill level This trip is designed for photographers of all levels. You do not need to be a professional photographer to go on this trip. As a matter of fact, I have taken many novices and they have come back with awesome photos. I have taken people with SLR cameras, mirrorless cameras, and even mobile phones. My job is to teach you how to get the best photos with whatever camera you have. You do need to be mobile since we do a fair amount of walking on this trip. Cost The cost for this trip is $13,500 all inclusive of internal flights, hotels, boat, and food. Gear and Clothing Suggestions Galapagos offers plentiful photographic opportunities and you will want to have the right photography gear with you to capture the best photos in this location. Here is what I recommend:
* Two camera bodies (one as a backup) * A long zoom lens (400mm or longer) * A mid-range zoom lens (in the 24-150mm range) * High capacity memory cards * A polarizing filter * A good camera bag * A laptop computer for downloading and editing * An external hard drive for backing up your data * An underwater camera (I use a point-and-shoot) or underwater pouch for your phone. If you are reading this and thinking "I don't have two camera bodies or one of those lenses", don't worry. Canon has offered to supply any of my workshop attendees with loaner gear at no cost!!! All you have to do is let me know what gear you would like.
I always recommend trip insurance. I find that the best value is the annual plan at Allianz (which is what I have). You can find out more about this insurance offering HERE.
