Sacred ValleyAfter visiting Lima, we fly to Cusco, but immediately head to the Sacred Valley. This is a lower altitude (which is perfect for getting adjusted to the higher altitude) and has some amazing things to see here. We will visit a hummingbird sanctuary, see how the Peruvian women sew their beautiful colorful clothes, and get amazing views of the Andes Mountains. We also make a trip out to see the Salt mines which have been in existence for hundreds of years. |

* Each trip will be limited to just 10 guests. This will give us plenty of one-on-one time together! You will want to book your flight to Lima, Peru to arrive on the day before our first day. For your return flight, you will want to book a flight home the day after our the last day of the trip. Skill level This trip is designed for photographers of all levels. You do not need to be a professional photographer to go on this trip. As a matter of fact, I have taken many novices and they have come back with awesome photos. I have taken people with SLR cameras, mirrorless cameras, and even mobile phones. My job is to teach you how to get the best photos with whatever camera you have. You do need to be mobile since we do a fair amount of walking on this trip. Cost The cost for this trip is $7,450 all inclusive of internal flights, hotels, food and non-alcoholic drinks. Gear and Clothing Suggestions Peru offers plentiful photographic opportunities and you will want to have the right photography gear with you to capture the best photos in this location. Here is what I recommend:
* Two camera bodies (one as a backup) * A long zoom lens (400mm or longer) * A mid-range zoom lens (in the 24-150mm range) * High capacity memory cards * A polarizing filter * A tripod * A good camera bag * A laptop computer for downloading and editing * An external hard drive for backing up your data If you are reading this and thinking "I don't have two camera bodies or one of those lenses", don't worry. Canon has offered to supply any of my workshop attendees with loaner gear at no cost!!! All you have to do is let me know what gear you would like.
